it's easy: get Magix Video Deluxe via PirateBay, it's a great program to utilize, pretty easy to understand although it's not the most pretty outcome, at least it's easy to use.
Be ready to spend some hours editing videos 'n stuff tho.
But with Magix you should cut short on most of the audio and video editing since the stuff that you need regularly is built into there.

Muffin, Piratebay is pretty much stealing. There's plenty of free programs out there that you can suggest instead.

Re: LL-VoT collaborations
such crime, much evil.
Honestly, PirateBay is greyzone, you're not taking it from anyone and since the version you'll get there won't be updating itself or be overly-user-friendy you'll buy the actual program or a different program eventually if you have the money.
Friend of mine actually bought the programm after using the pirated version for three years.

Already have a free one that looks fine and I don't need to spend a lot of time to do anything but compile it (40min tops)

Re: LL-VoT collaborations
Muffin, it's a lore forum, not a pirate exchange. I can't allow such suggestions.
Anyways, back to the topic.
I have thought some things through.
Lucan, I don't care if you like Ed or not. I'm not going to allow the shitfest against someone that can't defend himself. You can't hold yourself? Take it with Ed.
That's the end of this and any similar subjects.
And I'm terribly sorry I got carried away and it took me so much time to decide it.

Yeah. We'd moved onto planning alternate plans just in case that one failed. That was pretty much the solution we came to a while back, though put much more politely if I do say so myself.

I'm all about coningency plans, but then again there's the main_contingency_plan_that_we're_living_right_now that should also be taken into account.

Any other ideas?
So far the ideas we have are:
- Vaults of Terra Translations
- 40k Lore timeline.
- Lore and Tactica Combination Videos

- Intro to 40k Tabletop Videos
Any other ideas?

Re: LL-VoT collaborations
Yes, I'll write a book and I'll become famous, and the forum will be crawling with fans!!!11one
Watching Rick and Morty without sleep till I pass out. This show is awesome!
And for realzies- people do stupidest things. There's a guy on youtube that have nothing on his channel but him eating carrots and drinking water. He does it for so long that he has some absurd amout of subscribers. My point is- whatever we decide, do well, and do it long enough, people will come. Pick whatever you're best at and start doing it.
As it happens, I'm good at lore, so I made a lore forum.
EVERYBODY COME AND HAVE A BLAST!

Re: LL-VoT collaborations
Oh no doubt. As I said earlier, you could do painting tutorials, tabletop battle reports and sit and chats and you'd get a modest following. One of the nice things about 40k, despite it's expense, once you get the models most players seem reluctant to give away their models unless they're trading for other models. So fans of the game seem to stay around for quite some time. Sometimes they leave because of an edition, but they'll be back. Even online, I've spoken to many who say they haven't played since (variable X) Edition, and they're just now getting back into the game.
That said: here's an idea, though this may be more for Ristiald; how about 40k Rule Updates by Edition? That is, you take a hard look and play a couple of out-of-date games and tell those old players how the rules have changed to the current edition.

Re: LL-VoT collaborations
Now that's something that haven't been there before. It's worth considering.
Although I must consider also, that I've been out of the loop for some time also.
I will look into that though.

Re: LL-VoT collaborations
And of course, tell new and old players if they want to learn more about the lore/ setting (as you will occasionally encounter out-of-date stuff in the rulebooks), you can discuss that in the video and point them to the forum as well.

Thanks Lucan, but you should be working on stuff to promote your own forum, and you would not have time to issue such massive help to me. I can't take it.

Re: LL-VoT collaborations
Right! So get a small space marine force, a small Eldar Force (modern models will suffice) and a copy of the 1st Edition Rogue Trade 40k Table-top. Shouldn't be all too expensive, since they're out of print and the only want to get it is eBay. No...? Well, it was worth a try....
On a more serious note, I will reiterate my statement that I am willing to help with scripts if you need any. I cannot do videos, for the same reason as Ris.
